"There was a time when blog traffic was important to me, but now that my health is slowly deteriorating, I've come to realise that there are more important things than being famous," a disabled blogger said. (The Star)
i have to confess that my blog traffic used to concern me a lot, too. i mean, what's the point of writing a blog only to have no one to share/read it. i began to log on to my invinsible web tracer everytime i online, clinging to those small numbers that show how many hits i got in a day.
Now, it doesn't really matter anymore, i guess. *shrugs* 'Coz this is my blog. And even if no one is reading it, i can be sure i'll have one reader- Me! (i do get a kick from reading my own blog entries.=) i have to totally agree with another blogger in The Star- "Most bloggers are lonely people i think, and we are all egomaniacs. We all want attention!"
Only i won't go so far as saying we bloggers are egomaniacs. i think i'll prefer the word 'egocentric'. A lil' bit egoistic and a wee bit eccentric. Only egoistic people can write about themselves almost daily and yet never feel bored/ashamed. Disagree? i'm open to any sort of debate. (Still trying to raise my number of hits per day. Old habit dies hard.)
