Today we had a mini-concert in the company greenroom during lunch hour, complete with a band, singers and all. The singers were from a mix of the more senior staff, junior staff and even an intern. It's quite refreshing to see the other side of the people i worked with everyday. They let their hair down, loosen their tie and were actually having fun, as we clapped and cheered along some oldies, canto pop, and even a song from the singapore film 881.
Even *ahem* nerdy, bookish editors also have their fun side.
On another note, i've gotten quite used to deadlines. My journal is still late- by two weeks now, thanks to the over-enthusiastic ME (managing editor). The final files have to be sent for more corrections. Copyediting is one week-late. By the rate i'm going, i'm gonna need another week.
This reminds me of a saying: i love deadlines! i especially love the whooshing sound they made as they passed by. =.=
i'm so dead.
