My first elang tutorial.

i was standing outside the tutorial room while waiting for the class before us to be released. As the class ended and student begin to flow out of the room, i caught a glimpse of the tutor from the ajar door. Was actually a bit surprise when i saw who is my tutor. Okay, called me biased but somehow i have this impression of a Dr. Alastair Butler as an old man. i mean, with the doctorate degree and all.

Skinny and tall, my tutor wears T-shirt and jeans, with a spectacle that looks strangely like harry potter's, talks animatedly and moves his hand a lot in a flourish manner. In short, he doesn't look like a person who has a doctorate degree. Ha. Ha. He looks more like one of the exchange student. =P

Today we learnt about language play. We're supposed to do some research on our own and come up with examples. So i gave mine: Crystal, i can see through you. Crystal as in the name of a woman or the precious stone. So there's a double meaning here.

We had fun laughing over some of the witty and funny ones. For example,
What is a good ice-breaker?
A heavy penguin.

Why are fish so smart?
Because they always swim in schools. (a school of fish)

And nope, they are not lame jokes. They are examples of word play. =)
