Bad tidings again.

A relative died. Stabbed to death by some robber in JB. i'm finding it hard to digest the news of his death. My heart goes out to his wife and his two young sons, who are of barely school age. i felt sorry for his mother, who is my auntie. When you heard that a 39 years old man died, you usually expect the cause of death to be sickness or something. But not like this.

Everyone will die eventually. But certainly not this way of bleeding to death, helpless and alone, in a poodle of your own blood. The last time i saw him was probably during CNY. And that was it. Now he's gone. Life is unpredictable. It sounds so cliche; but now, i'm being hit hard in the face. We'll never know what will happen to us in the next minute. The quote "live everyday as though it's your last" doesn't sound so banal anymore.

To say that everything happen for a reason is easy. But try saying that to his mother who has to face this blow at her age.. Try telling the wife why it has to be her husband.. Try explaining to the two young boys that their dad will never ever be back again.. i wonder if the two kids will ever have a normal childhood.

i've read about murder cases in the newspaper. But i never imagined that one day, it'll happen to someone i know. No one deserve to die like this. He was a quiet man. But at least he was a good man. Damn those robbers. For money, they had killed not just an innocent man, but a son, a husband and a father.

May God help his family to go through this.
