The irony of life.

For a long time, scientists thought the complicated, sophisticated protein, which has twenty different components (the amino-acids), is the hereditary material.

In reality, it is the DNA, which has only four components (the A, T, C and G), that contains the information of programming a single fertilized egg cell to grow into a fully formed and functional human being.

Been trying to finish the book "The Seven Daughters of Eve" by Bryan Sykes. It was recommended by the genetics lecturer. i'm still at page 36. Heh. The language written is pretty simple. Even if you have no background in genetics, you can easily grapsed the terms as they are explained in layman's terms. It's like a science storybook. Only that it's not fiction.

Ahh...life after exam. i can finally go out le! Went Ikea today and bought myself a cushion for my chair, a 3 dollars wall clock, some microwaveable containers and a big box for packing.

Yipee... NWP chalet this Friday and i'll be home on Sunday! =D
