The Da Vinci Code. Finally.

It was kinda fast-paced and with all the chasing scenes and revelations. Funnily, all the "revelations" didn't really produced the kind of raised-goosebumps-stunning-effect that i felt when i first read the book; especially at the scene where Leigh Teabing is telling Robert Langdon and Sophie Noveau about Mary Magdalene. It was suppose to be a crucial scene; where every mystery about the Holy Grail is revealed. It was more fun to read the conversation between the three of them as more and more intrigue details are revealed and debated. It felt as though the great mystery is revealed in front of you and you are let in to know the 'great secret'.

In the movie, it was always a pleasure to see as Robert and Leigh patiently explaining the 'truth' to Sophie, much like two masters enlightening the ignorant disciple. Seeing the two men bickering, finishing each other's sentences, the spark in their eyes as they explain, the animated Leigh... their enthusiasm is very convincing indeed.

Ian Mckellen, as always, carries his role well as Leigh Teabing, the expert on the Holy Grail. His mischevious grin and animation as he explains are delightful to watch.

(spoiler alert) i almost laugh out loud when just after Robert told Sophie that she is the heir to Jesus Christ's bloodline, someone's handphone rang in the cinema, with some cheerful ringtone. A disturbance, yes; but talk about good timing!

Ahh... another delightful day out with the girls. =)
