Today is NUS flag day.

i realise that it's sort of a common thing for them to have flag day here. Eveyone in my OG has done it a few times. But it's the first time for me. =)

My OG is assigned to Toa Payoh (hmn..only the 4th place i've visited). It's quite fun actually. At the end of the day, of course you're thristy, worned-out, tired, but when you think it's for charity, you'll be satisfied somehow.

When some people heard of NUS, they'll be happily putting in coins in your tin can. There's this auntie who donate because her daughter graduated from NUS. Another men asked me if anyone rejected me yet. Of course, lots of people. He said he'll make it up by putting some coins in my tin. Then one of my OG mates got lectured by an old man because of the NKF scandal happened here.

i don't know if it's the NKF thingy of what, some people avoided me like as though i'm carrying SARS. They will purposely alter their route or go by a bigger round. Some treated me like an invinsible. But there are some who will at least smile back at you and said 'no'.

My OG mates counted that some even draw out their phone on the spot and started speaking into the phone (without pressing any buttons).

But of course there are still many who are generous with their donations. i filled nearly half a can at the end of the day.
