I wrote my first little 'scientific research paper' on Polar Bear.

Do you know that polar bear is actually the largest land carnivore? And its only predator is human. Isn't this sad?

Cool facts about polar bear:
#1: Its fur is not white. It is transparent and non-pigmented, like a hollow tube with air space in the center.

#2: Its skin is actually black. It appears white because the fur reflects visible light.

#3: It's so well-insulated that it appears to be 'invinsible' in infrared photographs.

#4: The fur colors range from white to yellow, due to oxidation and other factors. But sometimes, they can be green too! This happens when algae infects their fur and stays inside the hollow center. That reminds me. The polar bears in Singapore Zoo were once infected too. They have to be bleached with hydrogen peroxide. Poor bears!
