i went to career fair the other day. While scanning through the brochures and looking at the positions available etc, it just suddenly dawned on me that im going to step into the working world soon. A few months from now and i would say goodbye to school.

It's the time for resume writing, career fairs, house and job hunting. Decisions after decisions have to be made. Are these what grown-ups are suppose to do? Be inundated with stuff to mule over, to decide upon and to worry about? Yukie said we're 23 and we're not young anymore. Indeed, gone will be the carefree days. The future holds as much uncertainties and also endless possibilities. i look at it with much anticipation but also with a mix of trepidation and apprehension.

It reminds me of little turtle hatchlings which have to return to the sea, where they are suppose to belong. There would be so many predators ready to pounce on them, obstacles everywhere (not to mention the threat of plastic bags). i wonder if the little turtles would still swim bravely into the sea knowing there would be dangers lurking everywhere? Or precisely for this, they would embrace the sea with a heightened sense of courage, for they are swimming towards their future, their destiny.
