Back at home, i saw on some news n local tv programmes, in which random people on the street were asked about their new year wishes. A lot of people said "wish to earn more money in this year", "wish for more business", "wish for more profit" etc etc....What one guy said caught my attention. He said he wish to be a better person. Funny i thought, in a comical moment it reminds me of 'to be a better man~~ by Robbie Williams. But then how many of us would actually think of that?
To wish to be a better person, to be a more 'bearable' person for people around us also. Communication between people is a delicate matter i think. Improper handling will often result in relationships strained, or ties broken. It's easy to say, 'we must put ourselves in other people's shoes and think from their POV', but the truth is we're not in their shoes! Sometimes we can't possible think of what other people will think. What we meant may not be the meaning that they interpret from our message. And that's why we have to be
considerate mindful. i like the words in chinese "用心". Literally translated would be to use our 'heart'. To put our heart and soul into doing everything, more so when communicating with other people.
It's still easier said than done.
But doesn't mean we should stop.
New Year Resolution:
To be more 用心.
